As you progress on your detox journey, you’ll want to resort to only using natural products on your skin and in your home. Detoxing your hair is an essential part of becoming LIVINGmucusFREE.
Initially, I lost a lot of hair due to detox and this process lasted about six months. If you experience similar effects, don’t worry but rather trust the process. Eventually, my hair stopped falling out and I had lots or regrowth!
If you do experience hair loss, then use this scalp tonic from Living Libations or this Hair Reconstructor by John Masters. The two product categories below are my personal favourites:
1. LIVING LIBATIONS
This is a great line of all natural products and I love their Organic Seabuckthorn shampoo or their Blue Spirulina Shampoo. Their Honey Deep Conditioning Hair Mask is *amazing*!
2. JOHN MASTERS
This is one of my all time favourite hair products. My vetoed best shampoos are:
- Stimulating Mint Shampoo & Volumiser (safe for colour treated hair)
- For dry and itchy scalps
- To deeply nourish, cleanse and treat dandruff (with added Vit. B to soothe the scalp)
NATURAL HAIR STYLING
Use this to bring some texture into the hair and smell divine too (with hints of vanilla and tangerine)!
HAIRBRUSHES
You guessed it – a good hairbrush makes all the difference! Natural boar bristles are the best since they distribute the natural oils in your hair evenly and increase the shine of your hair. This great set comes with a wooden comb.
Note: ALL THESE PRODUCTS ARE JUST NICE TO HAVES.
HOME MADE ALTERNATIVES
You can also use black soap, a very mild natural shampoo or some bentonite clay to wash your hair once every week and then once every ten days. Since having detoxed, I only need to wash my hair every 10-14 days and massage essential oils such as rosemary/frankincense/peppermint/black pepper/sandalwood and cinnamon into my scalp.
