Kidney Pain and Challenges

All of these factors are linked. Before we can dive any deeper into the physical manifestations, we must look at one crucial factor in achieving efficient detoxification – namely kidney filtration.

Until the kidneys are filtering, it is going to be very hard to detox properly and therefore it will be hard to heal your body in a significant way.

The kidneys are connected to your adrenals, which in turn are connected to your thyroid and pituitary gland.

When the kidneys are negatively affected, a person may experience the following symptoms (see which are relevant to you):

The Physical Manifestations

  • Asthma
  • Ear ringing
  • Lower back pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Issues with the central nervous system (brain and spine)
  • Poor short-term memory
  • Premature greying of hair
  • Excessive craving for salty foods
  • Incontinence
  • Infertility
  • Miscarriages
  • Low libido and sexual dysfunctions
  • Feeling cold easily
  • Diarrhoea
  • Hot flashes, night sweats
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Kidney infections
  • Rancid body odour
  • Getting startled easily

The Metaphysical Manifestations

The energy of the kidneys has EVERYTHING to do with our sexuality. Our sexuality and how we relate to it is inextricably linked to the health of our kidneys. Trauma of any kind in relation to our sexual expression will affect the health of the kidneys and this energy loop is going to keep us unhealthy and show up in our relationships. Self-esteem when it comes to our bodies is a manifestation of how we have been raised and how we choose to look at ourselves.

It never ceases to amaze me how truly miraculous the body is. I was working with a client with a history of being cheated on. She was highly successful on the outside, but suffered from feelings of unworthiness and feeling like she could not have the kind of relationship she desired.

Her kidneys were not filtering in spite of strictly sticking to the detox. Her nervous system was frazzled and exhaustion was haunting her.

Instead of working on the body, we started to work deeply on her emotions and the trauma she experienced. As she released the feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness and fear, her kidneys started filtering, her nervous system calmed down and her health issues were resolved in a matter of months!

Healing so often comes from acknowledging and releasing the trauma and fear stored in our body and returning to our conscious innocence. By restoring kidney filtration we restore our vitality and health improvements will inevitably follow.

“The kidneys also represent relationships, there are two of them. We all want to feel trust in our relationships. Sometimes though just the opposite, fear can come up in our relationships. It is scary sometimes to be vulnerable. Sometimes it is scary to open your heart for fear it might be broken. How can you nurture any fear that may come up for you?

Where there is fear you are being called to cultivate gentleness, calmness and trust. I have heard it said that fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real but when you are feeling fear that doesn’t always help. Whatever is causing the fear still seems so real. It doesn’t seem false when you are having the feeling. What can you do?

Know that if you are feeling fear it is time for you to trust. It is time for you to be gentle with yourself. It is time to create an environment around you that is calm and nurturing. Sometimes we can’t quite tap into the feeling of fear since we live in a modern world. We don’t have to worry about a wild tiger chasing us.

Another word for fear could be anxiety. Have you suffered from anxiety? Don’t let it get the best of you. Cultivate the energies of trust, gentleness and calmness when you feel anxiety surface.

Take time to slow down.

Trusting in the process of life is the greatest antidote to fear or anxiety. Know that fear is hard on you and your kidneys. Make contact with your body and your breath. Even take your hands and place them on your kidneys and begin to breathe warmth and love into them”.
